Colin Tipping

Colin Tipping transitioned on June 28, 2019.  We knew (“we” being all involved in the Radical Forgiveness team) this was coming.  Colin prepared for his transition incredibly well.  He had handled his personal affairs, set up new leadership for the Institute of Radical Forgiveness, and communicated beautifully with all of the coaches.  He let us all know he would somehow contact us from the other side about how things were going :}

Colin has had a major influence on my life since we met in 2007.  He had come to Truckee to do several workshops.  I had gone to Atlanta to do several workshops in order to receive my certification.  It was a tough time for me, ending a 26-year relationship/marriage.  Not only were the tools of Radical Forgiveness so instrumental for my ability to deal with all that was changing in my life, but also Colin was a real stronghold for me.  He was wonderfully human, sometimes “pissing me off” by what he asked me to do and at the same time so loving in his quest to help me grow spiritually. 

On the human side, once I told him that I didn’t watch the news.  It was too negative and disturbing…Colin told me that in order to receive my certification I HAD TO watch the news.  It was imperative in this work that I needed to learn to be informed and not affected.  I can’t tell you how many times this saying has helped keep me from crawling into a hole with someone who was not in a good place.  I have been able I hope most of the time to hold positive space with compassion.

I knew he was ready to transition but when I heard I was surprised at the emotion that came up for me.  I lost my older sister this year, and another dear friend that I have had since about the time I met Colin.  But Colin’s passing has left an unusual space in my heart.  All I can imagine that space is for is to continue to live what I learned from Colin about Radical Forgiveness and also Radical Manifestation, a modality that has become so important to my everyday existence.  And not only continue to live but continue to share.

Colin was such a “human being” with an incredible spiritual gift, which has changed my life so much, I can only imagine how many thousands of others he has reached and touched as well.  Without a doubt by continuing to find the perfection in everything as Colin taught, we can assist in raising the vibration of an ever-changing world.  RIP dear Colin but keep up the good work!
